Erick Maina

Picture
_ Erick is one of Pathfinder's brightest and most promising class 8 students, ranking in the top 10% of his class. He excels in mathematics, his favorite subject, and wishes to become an engineer when he grows up because he loves construction. Outside of school, Erick enjoys preaching at church and playing soccer. His favorite team is Manchester United and his favorite player is Nane. Erick's favorite meal is chapati with beans. If he could travel anywhere, he would visit the United States because he is curious to see what it's like there after hearing so much about it. Erick looks up to Warren Buffet as a roll model because he started from a low level and was able to accomplish so much in his life, reaching such a high level of success and respect. Erick lives with his mother and father and two brothers. Neither of his parents have real jobs, but both try to earn money as casual workers when they can. This income is very small and they cannot feed all three children let alone school them with it. His grandmother tries to help pay school fees sometimes, but she works as a farmer and has asthma so she finds it hard to work consistently. Erick is therefore hoping to find a sponsor who will allow him to continue with his schooling and improve his education level. He promises to work hard if he finds a sponsor and he isn't sure what he will do if he can't find one. He hopes to attend Lenana Boys High School. Sponsor Erick
