Forstine Makohka

Forstine is nine years old and in the third grade at Pathfinder Academy. She is a very bright girl who enjoys attending school and church very much. Currently, her favorite subject is religious studies and she wishes to be a teacher when she grows up. Forstine has a beautiful singing voice and is part of the church choir along with her parents and siblings. She has two sisters and a brother and her parents – who run a small kiosk selling jericans at the local market – find it very difficult to pay all of their children’s school fees on the $1 to $2 they earn a day. Forstine is a very promising student with exceptional potential, but she needs to find a sponsor if she is to continue attending Pathfinder Academy.
