Pathfinder Primary Student Tuition and Board

The Roots of South Sudan is a Common Ground for Africa program at Pathfinder Academy. We support refugee orphans from the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Turkana County to receive quality education while in Kenya. These bright children are selected for their leadership potential and willingness to help others, so they can build a foundation for the new nation of South Sudan.

You may choose to pay your child's fees in annual or monthly installments. All payments are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Tuition fee- US$ 300 per year (US$ 25 monthly)
Boarding fee- US$ 360 per year (US$ 30 monthly)

Chan Kun Buoy

Chan is an orphan from South Sudan and in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. Chan loves school and his favorite subject is Mathematics. He wishes to be a Bank Manager or Engineer after completing school. After school hours, he enjoys playing soccer with his friends and attending church at school.

Goy Yien Thon

Goy is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is a very bright boy who enjoys attending school and church very much. Currently, his favorite subject is English and she wishes to be a Journalist when she grows up. The father was killed back home in South Sudan. His mother runs a small kiosk selling jericans at the local market at Kakuma Refugee Camp – find it very difficult to pay all of her children’s school fees on the $1 to $2 they earn a day. Goy is a very promising student with exceptional potential, but he needs to find a sponsor if he is to continue attending school.

Jimma Yien Tuach

Jimma is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is an orphan from South Sudan.. Jimma’s favorite subject in school is English and he wishes to be a Lawyer to bring Justice and fairness to his country… South Sudan. His hobbies include playing soccer and helping others with chores such as fetching water. Jimma needs to find a sponsor in order to continue schooling after finishing grade 8.

Koang Bill Bayoch

Koang is a grade 8 pupil at Pathfinder Academy. His parents are alive. Koang’s favorite subject in school is Science and he wishes to become a Business man like his father when he grows up. Koang likes helping his parents at camp, fetching water.

Koat Chot Tut

Koat is a grader at Pathfinder Academy. He lives with his mother at the camp. He wishes to be an engineer when she grows up because she enjoys Science and wants to earn enough money that he can help his mother and others back home in South Sudan. Koat also enjoys studying Kiswahili at school and loves to read in his free time.

Kuon Chuol Liah

Kuon is an orphan from South Sudan and in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. His favorite subject in school is Science and he wishes to become a doctor when he grows up so that he can help heal sick people. In his spare time, Kuon enjoys football. ​

Liem Kuach Liem

Liem is in 8 grades at Pathfinder Academy. He likes studying math in school and wants to become a Member of Parliament when he grows up. Liem enjoys playing football with his friends in his free time and spending time with his classmates.

Lou Mayian Lul

Lou is in grade 8. He enjoys studying Science at school and hopes to become a Doctor if he is able to finish his schooling. When not in class, he likes reading and going to church. ​

Makuey Reat Gai

Gai is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He enjoys studying all subjects in school but especially Mathematics, and he hopes to become a doctor when he grows up. He enjoys looking after his classmates and playing football with his friends.

Malou Gatthouy Ngor

Malou is about to sit for his final exam in grade 8. He enjoys studying math in school and wishes to become a Lawyer when he grows up. When not in school, he enjoys attending church with his colleagues.

Matar Tuach Tut

Matar is in grade 8. Matar's favorite subject in school is Science and he wants to become a doctor when he grows up. Outside of school, he enjoys going to church with his friends. ​

Nuer Jal Wiew

Nuer is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is a very bright student and is ranked at the top in the class. Nuer excels in Science at school and wishes to become a doctor when he grows up so that he help the sick back home in South Sudan and other countries. He enjoys playing football with his friends in his free time.

Nyak Gai Chuol

Nyak is an orphan from South Sudan and in grade 8. Nyak excels in Science at school and hopes to become an engineer if he can finish his schooling. In his free time, he enjoys playing football with his classmates and going to church.

Nyamuch Makuach

Nyamuch is in grade 8 and her favorite subject in school is Science. She hopes to become a doctor when she grows up. She enjoys reading and skipping rope with her friends in her free time.

Payai Wiet Payai

Payai is an orphan from South Sudan and a bright student at Pathfinder Academy. His favorite subject in school is English and he wants to become a Lawyer when he grows up. Payai enjoys playing football with his friends and singing in church on weekends. ​

Puol Mathat Chuol

Puol excels in many subjects in school but his favorite is Mathematics and Social Studies. Puol wishes to become a Lawyer when he grows up because he loves being fair to others. Puol needs to find a sponsor if he is to continue his education as he has parents.

Taban Biel Diet

Taban is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. Taban's favorite subject is Science and he wishes to become a doctor if he can attend school long enough. Outside of school, he enjoys football with his friends and going to church with his friends.
