Pathfinder Primary Student Tuition and Board
The Roots of South Sudan is a Common Ground for Africa program at Pathfinder Academy. We support refugee orphans from the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Turkana County to receive quality education while in Kenya. These bright children are selected for their leadership potential and willingness to help others, so they can build a foundation for the new nation of South Sudan.
You may choose to pay your child's fees in annual or monthly installments. All payments are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tuition fee- US$ 300 per year (US$ 25 monthly) Boarding fee- US$ 360 per year (US$ 30 monthly) |
Chan Kun BuoyChan is an orphan from South Sudan and in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. Chan loves school and his favorite subject is Mathematics. He wishes to be a Bank Manager or Engineer after completing school. After school hours, he enjoys playing soccer with his friends and attending church at school.

Goy Yien ThonGoy is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is a very bright boy who enjoys attending school and church very much. Currently, his favorite subject is English and she wishes to be a Journalist when she grows up. The father was killed back home in South Sudan. His mother runs a small kiosk selling jericans at the local market at Kakuma Refugee Camp – find it very difficult to pay all of her children’s school fees on the $1 to $2 they earn a day. Goy is a very promising student with exceptional potential, but he needs to find a sponsor if he is to continue attending school.

Jimma Yien TuachJimma is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is an orphan from South Sudan.. Jimma’s favorite subject in school is English and he wishes to be a Lawyer to bring Justice and fairness to his country… South Sudan. His hobbies include playing soccer and helping others with chores such as fetching water. Jimma needs to find a sponsor in order to continue schooling after finishing grade 8.

Koat Chot TutKoat is a grader at Pathfinder Academy. He lives with his mother at the camp. He wishes to be an engineer when she grows up because she enjoys Science and wants to earn enough money that he can help his mother and others back home in South Sudan. Koat also enjoys studying Kiswahili at school and loves to read in his free time.

Nuer Jal WiewNuer is in grade 8 at Pathfinder Academy. He is a very bright student and is ranked at the top in the class. Nuer excels in Science at school and wishes to become a doctor when he grows up so that he help the sick back home in South Sudan and other countries. He enjoys playing football with his friends in his free time.
