Veronicah Ayiecha

Picture
_ Veronicah is a determined, hardworking student, attaining grades in the top 10% of her class. At 12 years old, she is one of the youngest students in her grade 8 class. She excels in mathematics at school and hopes to become a neurosurgeon when she grows up so that she can help students who are in need but who don't have parents to help them get the help they  need. Outside of school, Veronicah enjoys participating in athletics, reading storybooks and singing. Her favorite food is the traditional Kenyan meal of Ugali. If she could travel anywhere in the world right now, it would be the United States because she wants to see President Obama. Veronicah looks up to her aunt who is a tailor as her roll model because she assists in paying her school fees when she can, though she cannot assist as often as she would like to. Veronicah lives with her parents and two brothers when she's not boarding at Pathfinder. Her mother doesn't work and her father owns a small business but only earns a few dollars a day. She has many problems at home but she lists her parents' inability to pay her and her brothers' school fees as the most significant because it is a huge impediment to them reaching their future goals and being able to help her parents and others. She wishes to find a sponsor so that she can continue with her schooling. If she gets a sponsor, Veronicah says she will work hard at a level where she will attain grades good enough to continue to medical school to become a neurosurgeon. She would like to attend Lenana Girls High School. Sponsor Veronicah
